Stock Hatch at Brands Hatch - 2005
Hello everyone,
We just got back from our 11th round held at Brands Hatch!!!
There is some good news and bad news to tell…
Good news first, the teams statistics after qualifying were very up-stat. JJ got straight into the final, which is a first for the team, positioning himself 23rd on the grid, but only 0.8 seconds from the guy in first. Niki qualified in 27th (0.26 seconds behind JJ) which put him 2nd position on the grid for the afternoon heat. Niki got into 1st by the second corner (Druids) and cruised away with the lead, winning by 7.87 seconds!! Winning a race was also a first for the team. He then was interviewed by the commentator; they were speaking to each other over the microphone about Narconon® which all of the spectators could hear. Winning the heat put Niki 26th on the grid for the Final race.
The final is where the bad news struck!!! JJ had a brilliant start, passing 4 before the first corner, putting himself in 19th, then 5 more later that lap. The race was then red flagged due to three cars that went off into the gravel in a dangerous place. We were screaming down the main straight to complete our first lap as the red flags came out to stop the race, we all started to slow down, but as JJ was putting his foot on the brake pedal he was hit hard from the back. The hit forced JJ sideways and he hit the wall at 85mph and ended his race and his car.
Niki had a bad start, but made his places back and finished successfully. Niki was also the 4th quickest XR2 that day.
We’ve attached video clips and pictures for you to look at from the race. The file names describe them.
The race team has three more races this year. Two at Cadwell Park on the 24th and 25th of September, and the final at Mallory Park on the 23rd of October.
JJ’s car is totally wrecked, so he and a fellow race friend (Enzo Amico) are busy building a new car, and need it ready in less than two weeks for Cadwell Park. The team is low on money and would like to be able to complete the season successfully. If anyone can donate any money or help in any other way, please contact us on narcononraceteam@hotmail.co.uk or else we have to race without a fricken windshield!!!
We have nearly enough to build the new car, but we need new Narconon® decals (stickers), new tyres and other things, for which we at least need £500. It would be great if some people could assist the team so that we can carry on “Driving-against-Drugs” and promoting Narconon®!!!

PS: Niki’s car is the white one (no. 140), which says LANIK on the front; JJ’s car is the black one with white Narconon® stickers (no. 139), which says VANNIER on the front. You’ll have to look at the pictures closely to see who’s who.
