Y4HR UK Car Racing Team wins “Peace Award”

The Youth 4 Human Rights UK Car Racing Team was invited to London on Friday 25th May to receive their “Ambassador For Peace” award from the Universal Peace Federation (UPF). The reason for this award was to recognize Niki Lanik, Ashurst Wood race driver of the Y4HR team, as an ambassador of world peace for his dissemination and promotion of the Youth For Human Rights International group and acknowledge the fact that he is doing his part to make living fair and without discrimination for everybody.

“… individuals whose lives exemplify the ideal of living for the sake of others, and who dedicate themselves to practices which promote universal moral values, renewal of the United Nations, a responsible public media and an establishment of a culture of peace…” excerpt of the award. The award was presented by Reverend Dr. Sun Myung Moon (founder) and Dr. Ja Han Moon (co-founder).

The other “soon to be” race driver for the Y4HR team, Stock Hatch race winner and regular podium finisher JJ Vannier, is also receiving his “Ambassador For Peace” award at the next UPF meeting at the end of June. JJ Vannier currently races for the Narconon® UK Car Racing Team, promoting Narconon’s drug education and drug re-habilitation programmes.

The Y4HR UK Car Racing Team is managed by Vibrant Motorsports Ltd in Ashurst Wood which, in turn, is run by Niki Lanik, JJ Vannier and family and was established in 2006.  The team, which is the holder of the 2006 Clio Winter Cup title, will compete in seven more championship rounds throughout the rest of 2007 in the ELF Clio Cup. Y4HR UK’s purpose is to make people aware of their human rights, which, in the long-term, makes a positive contribution towards world peace.  As far as they know, Y4HR UK Car Racing Team is the first of its kind in the world to support human rights. Other than their current main sponsor, Miracle Dry Wash (www.miracledrywash.com), the team is also sponsored by G&G Food Supplies (www.GandGvitamins.com), Wealden Workwear (www.wwpe.co.uk), and Luxury Sign Design (www.lsdsign.co.uk).  For more information, e-mail to y4hr@vibrant.ms or visit www.Y4HR.com.

The Y4HR Race Team and Niki Lanik are next out at Croft racing circuit in Yorkshire on 2/3 June. “Croft will be a fantastic race weekend! After having tested there on 17th May I’m confident about the car and how quick I can be.” Explained Niki, “I was 5th quickest, only 0.2 seconds slower per lap than Stefan Hodgetts, winner of Round 2 and 3. I was also top 5 in the majority of speed traps and sector times.”

The Clio Cup is Britain’s most successful one-make series, with many drivers having moved up to international levels of motorsports - to mention a few, Mat Jackson, Adam Sharpe, Rob Huff. The Clio Cup is broadcasted on ITV1 with 1,000,000 viewers per showing, and has 300,000+ live spectators per season, supporting the most competitive and watched championship in the UK, the British Touring Cars. This makes it ideal for any company of any size to advertise and sponsor on the race car, benefiting not just business-wise but also supporting a very worthy cause, Human Rights.
